1, 2, 3 ... Faithbook!
Do you want to preserve your memories, remember the
wonderful deeds of our Lord and have easy access to your
photos? But you
- don't have time
- don't have all the necessary tools for
scrapbooking
- don't feel like you are creative enough
- don't know where to begin
Well,
faithbooking
can be as easy as
1,2,3!
- Gather photos.
- Place in protectors.
- Fill space with premade embellished
"blocks".

1. Gather Photos
Once you gather the photos you want to place in your album,
sort them out.
You can sort by:
- theme (holiday, vacation)
- event (birthday, sports)
- person (child, sisters, family)
- milestones
- lessons learned
2. Place in
Protectors
Each two-page spread can hold 10 photos. Select
group of photos from step 1. Arrange photos in an eye-pleasing
manner.
Tips:
- place people facing inward (not looking off the
page)
- arrange chronologically to better tell the story
- group like items
- sometimes you just need to arrange until the photos
look balanced or pleasing to the eye
3. Use premade
embellishments
Fill in unused space to support the theme of
your photos.
"Block" embellishments:
-
Title block (tells what the photos are about)
-
Journaling block (here you can fill in the who,
what, when, where, why and how) about your photos.
What do you want to remember?
-
Scripture block (further support the theme with
scripture to remember God)
-
Embellished block (decorative elements to support
theme of photos)
Where to get albums?
- You can find an album by Recollections at Michaels. It
comes with page protectors already, enough to hold 400
photos. (or 400 "blocks" for photos and embellishing) These
retail for $25, I recommend purchasing with a 40% off
coupon. *the samples shown on this page are all from one
off these albums
- We R Memory
Keepers also has beautiful leather albums in
several colors that retail for $29.95. However, the
page protectors are sold
separately. There are various page protectors as well with
different photo sizes and layouts.
Samples:

MADD Camp 2010 1. I gathered photos from my two
daughters final MADD Camp performance. 2. In this album,
purchased at Michaels, the photo slots are three horizontal and
two vertical. Because my photos are mostly horizontal, I
cropped a few to still fit in the vertical slots. 3. One of my
vertical slots, I created a title block with some journaling.
The remaining vertical blocks I used coordinating paper, my
cropped photos, and further embellished with journaling. The
bottom left journaling strips is scripture.

Happy Birthday 1. I gathered photos of my daughter
trying out her new skateboard ramp she had received for her
birthday. 2. Again I cropped two photos for the vertical slots.
I filled in the space above/below the photo with scraps of
patterned paper. 3. The title block contains a die cut Happy
birthday along with some journaling. I also created a
scripture block to support the theme as well as remember God.
And finally, the journaling block with strips of
journaling.
